Mafalda Lopes won the QS1000 Caraïbos Lacanau Pro that went down in Lacanau, France.
The Portuguese surfer defeated the French Tessa Thyssen with a score of 10.76 points against her opponent’s 9.34 points in the final of this second event of the 2024/25 European Qualifying Series.
On her way to the final, Mafalda was consistent defeating Tya Zebrowsky in the quarter-finals and Janire Gonzalez Etxabarri in the semis.
With this important victory, Mafalda Lopes climbed to 4th place in the rankings fighting for the European title and the qualifying spots for the 2025 Challenger Series.
