Semente Surfboards presents a new way of ordering amidst the Covid-19 crisis. The brand will work based on a personal relationship with customers using communication technology.
“Covid-19 caught us all off guard. Work and play have come to a stop for most everyone. Due to this situation all retail shops are closed and our warehouse and showroom are also on shut down mode. Our factory is still functioning with all of us respecting safety rules and working in shifts of two at a time to keep the risk of infection minimal. Our factory doors are closed to the public and a lot of the public are sitting home dreaming about the next time they will be able to surf or travel, and about their next surfboard.
At this time, we are focusing on custom orders only and working in a totally different format. So, if you are looking to get that surfboard you have been thinking about done now here is what we have to offer.
First if you are thinking to go ahead with an order send us an email with your phone number and a day and time that I can personally call you, preferably by WhatsApp video or Facetime video. Our stock board racks are full as is normal for this time of year so I can walk you through our stock to see if there is anything that suits you there. If not, you can assist me while I design your board. After the machine cut, I will contact you again to see if you would like to watch your board being shaped on Instagram live stream. If so, again we will set up a day and time for that. On all boards ordered through this format we are knocking 10% off the normal price and shipping for free.
We have always been based on personal contact and the personal touch in all facets of our business. This whole idea is to keep that spirit and contact going and to let you be involved as much as possible without physically being here. These are strange times and distance means safety.
