This model originated from our work with team riders in search of the magic carpet for “junk” surf (90% of the contests run in those conditions). We were looking for a fast board down the line that did not lose the qualities of a progressive short board when it comes to maneuvers. The board is extremely flat with single concave throughout, the break is in the tail release that is created by the elimination of the concave in the last 6″, therefore loosening the board up to enable quick breaks in a surfers line to make the most of a crumbly lip when its available or to cut back hard in a non-existing wave and not lose your speed. Recently the area in the nose has been increased and the deepest point of the concave shifted forward to increase speed and overall control in this model. Surf it from 1 to 5 ft surf.
